- Gambling sites operating from the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Gibraltar, the Isle of Man, Alderney and other white-listed countries will still be allowed to advertise in the UK. Littlewoodscasino.com, Interpoker.com, Betfred Casino and Poker are among the sites subject to the new advertising ban because they are all currently based in.
A ban on TV and radio adverts for casinos, betting shops and online gambling sites is to be scrapped. The new rules will come into operation in September as part of the Gambling Act 2005.
The commercially funded BBC Global News has reached an agreement with Channel 4 that will offer global advertisers access to the UK commercial broadcast marketplace.
The partnership opens up the UK to BBC Global News clients who can take advantage of 4Sales’ advertising inventory across linear and VOD. This includes the BVOD (Broadcast Video on Demand) service All 4, alongside Box Plus channels and a selection of UKTV and Discovery owned channels.
Last month it was announced BBC News now reaches a weekly audience of more than 438 million people across the world.
